Writer's Workshop

It’s October 2. 

Today is National “Name Your Car Day.”  

What would you name your parents car? Why? What do you think you will name your first car? Why? 

• In your writer's notebook, in the journal section, answer the above questions. Why do we name our "belongings"? Using no less than 10 sentences answers those questions. Be sure to write it in paragraph form.  
• Complete Tuesday on the Sentence Practice sheet. Be sure to put this paper in a safe place so that you will have it on Thursday. The mistakes of each paragraph are listed. Make sure your number of mistakes match the list. 
•  Poem A Week - is located in the Poetry section, Metaphor Poem. Begin working on this poem. The poem is due on Thursday. Class time will be given today and Thursday. 
• Create a Conjunction Creature. BOYFANS - but, or, yet, for, and, nor, so. Choose one of the BOYFANS and create a creature. The BOYFANS must be obvious in the picture. Final copy of BOYFANS creature MUST be colored.
