Writer's Workshop

It’s October 30. 
Today is “National Candy Corn Day.”  What’s the order of the colors on a typical piece of candy corn?  Do you remember?
Trivial Fact of the Day: The Eiffel Tower shrinks 6 inches in the winter.

Vocabulary Word of the Day:  stupefy (verb) – This word means to overwhelm with amazement or to shock with surprise.  Name three trivial facts of the day that have stupefied you.

We are going to start today with a journal that is a very serious problem for drivers, especially young drivers. So as soon as you finish reading this blog go to Texting & Driving. We will read this article as a class and summarize.  Remember to work diligently in your book clubs. Losing points is not cool.
