It’s February 15.
Today is “International Gumdrop Day.”  Would you rather watch someone drop a gumdrop or gum a gumdrop?

Trivial Fact of the Day:   Pez candy was invented as a substitute for smoking by an Austrian who was fanatical** about anti-smoking. They were originally peppermint; in fact, they are named for the German word for peppermint: pfefferrminze.
Interesting Quote of the Day:  “The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.”  --Bertrand Russell (British philosopher)
**Vocabulary Word of the Day:  fanatical (adj.) – use this modifier to describe a person or a group showing excessive enthusiasm or intense, uncritical devotion to a cause.  Have you ever been fanatical about something?
