It’s March 1.
Today is “World Compliment Day.”  What are some unique compliments you can throw to your friends today?

Trivial Fact of the Day:   The yo-yo originated in the Philippines, but it was used as a weapon, not a toy.  Have you ever been bonked in the head by your own yo-yo?

Interesting Quote of the Day:  You know you're old when someone compliments you on your alligator shoes, and you're barefoot. ”  --Phyllis Diller (American comedienne)

Vocabulary Word of the Day:  felicitate (verb) –here’s a fancy action word that can be used as a synonym for congratulate or compliment.  Find an opportunity today to felicitate someone you’ve never felicitated before!

Happy Friday!! Channel One Week In Review!! Get your notebooks and a NBT book. Y'all are going to take a test over chapters 7 - 12. Open note, open book. Not look at your neighbor's paper.  When finished, turn in to your box. Return to your desk and read YOUR book.
