It’s April 30.
Truthfully, today is “National Honesty Day.”
What was the biggest fib you ever told?  Did you get caught?

Trivial Fact of the Day:  Lying increases the liar’s stress levels. Polygraph machines check many signals to determine if someone is lying, including breathing rate, pulse rate, blood pressure, increased perspiration, and arm and leg movements.
Interesting Quote of the Day:  Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.”  --Thomas Jefferson (3rd U.S. President)
Vocabulary Word of the Day:  ingenuous (adjective) – of course, today’s fancy adjective can be applied to someone who is very honest and trustworthy.  When is it okay—if ever—to be disingenuous?

Happy Tuesday! Journal Day!!! When we finish reading the blog, we are going to read about a birthday. Then we will begin our book walks. We will preview books and decide which book to read for our book clubs. Be sure to check your grade for your Onomatopoeia Poems.
