It’s May 10.
Today is “Windmill Day.”  What do you know about windmills and
what they are/were used for?  Where could you find a windmill today?

Trivial Fact of the Day:   The first windmills were being utilized in 200 B.C. China.  Did you know the wind was that old, kids?  J
Interesting Quote of the Day:  “There isn’t a single windmill owner in Holland who doesn’t have a second job for when there is no wind.”  --Johnny Ball (British television personality and math enthusiast)
Vocabulary Word of the Day:   quixotic (adjective) – named for Don Quixote, a literary character who dressed up as a knight and battled windmills, this descriptive word can be applied to a person who  acts very chivalrous or romantic, like a knight of old.
