It’s September 12.
Today is National “Video Game Day.”  Don’t celebrate until
after school and after homework, but with which game should you celebrate?

Trivial Fact of the Day:   Humans have 46 chromosomes, peas have 14, and crayfish (a.k.a. crawdads) have 200.
Interesting Quote of the Day:  “You got to be careful if you don’t know where you’re going, because you might not get there.”  --Yogi Berra (Catcher, outfielder, and manager of the New York Yankees)
Vocabulary Word of the Day:  dwindle (verb) – This action word means to become smaller and smaller.  What sorts of things do you do when you want your stress level to dwindle?

Today is journal day!!!Like a rainbow: new iPhones come in colors What do you think? Is it the next big thing? Is this a narrative or informational text? How do you know the difference?

Block 1 - We have explored Unit 1. Now it's time for us to delve deeper and truly understand Unit 1.  Vocabulary!! Vocabulary!!! Don't forget tomorrow is our quiz!! Be sure to look over your sheet we've been working on in class.

Blocks 2,3,4 - Priscilla and the Wimps, what is so surprising about the ending of the story? What makes this text a narrative text? What point of view is it written in? Today you guys are going to work in groups so remember our team expectations.
