It’s December 12.
Today is “Poinsettia Day.”  Some think these flowers are poisonous, but they aren’t.  Their milky sap can cause skin irritation, however.

Trivial Fact of the Day: The average human eye blinks 4,200,000 times a year.  How long can you keep yourself from blinking without using your hands (or a friend’s) to assist you?
Interesting Quote of the Day:  “The surest test of discipline is its absence.”  --Clara Barton (American humanitarian)
Vocabulary Word of the Day:  flout (verb) – apply this action word to a person who is disregarding or openly disobeying the rules.  How might someone flout the school’s dress code?
