It’s September 12.
Today is National “Video Game Day.”  Don’t celebrate until
after school and after homework, but with which game should you celebrate?

Trivial Fact of the Day:   Humans have 46 chromosomes, peas have 14, and crayfish (a.k.a. crawdads) have 200.
Interesting Quote of the Day:  “You got to be careful if you don’t know where you’re going, because you might not get there.”  --Yogi Berra (Catcher, outfielder, and manager of the New York Yankees)
Vocabulary Word of the Day:  dwindle (verb) – This action word means to become smaller and smaller.  What sorts of things do you when you want your stress level to dwindle?
 Happy Friday!!
You  have completed your first full week of middle school AND you survived!!
Today we are going to begin with SSR (sustained silent reading). Remember what a "real" reading.  Log your pages into your reading log. Next week you are going to submit a copy of your reading log for a formative grade. So be sure to log those pages. We are going to finish our Non-Fiction foldable and identify non-fiction text features.
