It’s April 13.
Today is “
Scrabble Day ™.”  Would you rather be stuck with no consonants or no vowels when playing?

Trivial Fact of the Day:   The Scrabble™ dictionary contains 35 playable words that use the letter q but require no u to follow it.  Faqir (a Hindu monk), qiviut (musk ox wool), and umiaq (a type of Eskimo boat) are three.  Know any others?
Interesting Quote of the Day:  Children are the most desirable opponents at Scrabble™ as they are both easy to beat and fun to cheat.”  -Fran Liebowitz (American author)
Vocabulary Word of the Day:  dupe (noun or verb) – a person who is easily tricked is a dupe, and to trick or cheat someone is to dupe them.  Ever been duped?

Advisory Monday!!
SSR - 20 minutes. Study for Vocabulary Test over Units 4 - 6 on Wednesday. Be sure you have all of the activities completed. Then, we are going to review the CBA from Friday. Finally, STAAR practice Full Day & Traveling West. What do we get if we all pass?
