Today is “Winston Churchill Day.”  In 1963, the former British Prime Minister was made an honorary U.S. Citizen by Congress.

Trivial Fact of the Day:   It takes an act of Congress to declare someone an honorary United States citizen.  Other than Winston Churchill, only six other people have earned this honor. Churchill and Mother Teresa are the only two recipients to NOT earn the honor posthumously**.
