It’s May 26.
Today is “Sally Ride Day,”  honoring the birthday of the first American female to orbit Earth.  How would you celebrate birthdays in space?

Trivial Fact of the Day:  The Moon is 4.5 billion years old. The footprints left on the Moon by the Apollo astronauts will not erode since there is no wind or water up there. Those footprints should last at least 10 million years.
Interesting Quote of the Day:  All adventures, especially into new territory, are scary.”  --Sally Ride (American astronaut)
Vocabulary Word of the Day:  pragmatic (adjective) – use this
descriptive word to describe a person or an action that is practical.  What’s the most
pragmatic organizational skill you learned to do as a student this year?

Tuesday!!! Only 1 more Tuesday!!!
We are going to begin with CNN student news. Then move to Vocabulary as a review of the words and the comprehension skills which is a review for the semester exam. Look at today's journal. Read The Cay and discuss.
