It’s April 28.
Today is National “Great Poetry Reading Day.”  William Wordsworth had a perfect name for a poet!  What other name would fit a poet?

Trivial Fact of the Day:   Orange isn’t the only color word that has no true rhyme.  Can you think of true rhymes for silver, olive, turquoise or purple

Interesting Quote of the Day:  “Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.”  --William Wordsworth (British poet)

Vocabulary Word of the Day:  ostentatious (adjective) – describe people, places, or things that are excessively showy or glitzy with this word.  What place is ostentatious, in your opinion?  What kind of outfit?  Can a piece of writing—like a poem—be ostentatious?  Why or why not?

Reading Day!!

Pre-AP - Begin vocabulary Unit 13, Practice unpacking presentations (summative grade)

OGL - NBT vocabulary, read NBT, characterization chart, begin understanding the first amendment
