**Vocabulary Word of the Day: panacea (noun) – this is a synonym for something that can serve as a remedy for all sicknesses or difficulties. “Take two aspirin and call me in the morning” is an old-fashioned doctor’s panacea from years ago. Is there a modern day equivalent to this old expression?

Today, we are going to begin with vocabulary(p. 65). Finish Choosing the Right Word and work on Synonyms and Antonyms. Journal Day!!!! The journal will be on-line so you will need an electronic device. Then, we are going to work on a STAAR practice. This is due Thursday. After STAAR practice, we are going to continue reading Phantom Tollbooth. Don't forget tomorrow is a short quiz over the drama terms.
