It’s March 25.
Today is “Tolkien Reading Day.”  What special token should they award to any student caught reading
The Hobbit today?

Trivial Fact of the Day:   A flamingo can only eat when its head is upside down.  Have you ever swallowed food or drink while hanging upside down?
Interesting Quote of the Day:  “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” --J. R. R. Tolkien (British author and professor)
Vocabulary Word of the Day:  complacency (noun) – this fancy noun means self-satisfaction that is coupled with an unawareness of danger or controversy.  Often complacency can get its owner in trouble.  Can you think of an instance like that?

Wonderful Wednesday!!
Today we are going to read Phantom Tollbooth. But before we begin, vocabulary p. 66 - 67 Synonyms and Antonyms
